Research priorities

Environmental Remote Sensing

My research focus is remote sensing of the environment, in particular forest and agricultural systems. Currently, I'm working on the AI-Klima project with partners from the Bavarian Forest National Park, Sumava National Park and the University of South Bohemia. My tasks in the project include remote sensing analyses of long-term trends in tree phenology and tree species composition under climate change.

Master thesis about early detection of bark beetle attacks with hyperspectral UAV remote sensing. In cooperation with the Bavarian Forest National Park and the University of South Bohemia.

PhD student in Prof. Lukas Lehnert's group working on the AI-Klima project

06/2023 - 11/2023

Researcher at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). I worked in the AgriSens DEMMIN 4.0 project. Agricultural application of optical and RADAR satellite data for crop classification and crop-specific development and vitality analyses. Implementation of classification and analysis algorithms on the DLR's new terrabyte platform.
