Successful Kickoff Meeting for the BMBF KARE project

The kick-off meeting was held online on December 15, 2020. In the first part of the meeting, the seven project partners shared the project goals, expectations and results to be achieved during the next three years. In the second part, members of the regional advisory group discussed the most pressing needs of adaptation to climate change in the project region. The meeting was followed online by more than 80 people.

The KARE project (Designing measures for climate change adaptation and risk management at the regional scale: the case of heavy precipitation events) funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is a three-year transdisciplinary research endeavour to develop and test knowledge-based solutions for communal climate risk management and adaptation.
